Just a Heads Up…

Just so everyone knows, I’m still alive and got back from vacation ok. I arrived a couple days ago and am still adjusting to the time difference! The Fleer Rookies and Greats box did arrive while I was away and has been busted. I’m trying to post up the results right now, but my scanner isn’t cooperating and I have to go out for a bit. I’ll find a way to get the scans up before tomorrow and would like to once again thank everyone for participating and being patient.

Group Breakers READ

Alright guys, here’s the deal. In my last post, I stated that our Fleer Rookies and Greats box would be here by today and I would break it before I left tomorrow. I’ve been pretty busy running around and working the past few days and finally got around to checking my PO box for the first time since Wednesday. According to the tracking info online, the box was delivered Thursday morning. When I went to check my box today, it wasn’t there. Usually, I have a key waiting for me or a slip notifying me to pick it up at the counter, but there was NOTHING.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get this straightened out until I come back so please just bear with me guys (leaving tomorrow around noon, my time). This is the first time I’ve ever had this problem, and it came at the worst possible time. Argh!! I can’t tell you guys how pissed I am right now, but we’ll get this done. I appreciate everyone’s patience with our break.

Talk to you guys soon,
-John

OSGB 2: Box 7: 2004 Donruss World Series

Hey guys. Sorry this took so long for me to post! This is the second-to-last box in our break. The Fleer Rookies and Greats box is on its way here, but may not get here until Saturday (in which case I’ll have to bust it and recap it that night after work before hopping on the plane the following afternoon). Some of you may remember the one-per-pack Blue inserts I talked about in my original review of this product. While I did not scan them (there are 24 total), here’s a quick listing of those by team:

Blue Jays: 1
Braves: 3
Royals: 1
Marlins: 2
Athletics: 3
Orioles: 1
Angels: 2

These boxes normally delivery 5 hits per box. We got a whopping 7! My favorite has to be the Mark Grace card which features a piece of ball used during Game 1 of the 2001 NLDS (Cards/DBacks). It was nice to see the Wicked One get on the board with some Marlins. Hopefully, we’ll see the love spread even more in our final box. Don’t give up guys.
