Farewell to the Funniest Man Ever

As most of you probably know by now, legendary comedian George Carlin has died at age 71. For decades, Carlin was a man you either loved or hated, no exceptions. He was offensive and sarcastic, but also downright hilarious and unapologetic for the things he said (probably what I loved most). I had the pleasure of seeing his act live on 2 separate occasions: in 2001 and 2004. I have read all but 1 of his books and can strongly recommend them. They are as follows: Sometimes a Little Brain Damage Can Help, Brain Droppins, Napalm and Silly Putty, and When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops? His final release in 2006, featured a combination of the last 3 on that list, combined with some new material and was called Three Times Carlin: An Orgy of George. He has also released a plethora of CD’s and there are several DVD’s of his HBO specials. If you don’t mind vulgar, offensive comedy, you must check them out. I will leave you with a clip of George talking about death from one of his live acts. RIP Mr. Carlin, and stop smiling down on us! Haha!
